Glensmill's Samueil Lester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tathan McSteve in the 33rd minute of play. Quirk Walker took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cathal Ramsey. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Quirk Walker to strike the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Austin McTom almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ballaghmore's Cathal Ramsey did a great save. In the 54th minute, Donald Gallagher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Gerard Willson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballaghmore's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerard Willson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glensmill's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donald Gallagher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 76 played minutes Ballaghmore got a freekick which was hit by Reidy McDonald. Aodh McIan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Cathal Ramsey made a huge save. A collision led to Ballaghmore getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Donald Gallagher hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Quirk Walker in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cathal Ramsey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samueil Lester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Willson in the 85th minute of the match. Gerard Willson struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Samueil Lester didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballaghmore. Ballaghmore were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
