Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Laban's Tyrone Murphy started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fachtna Savic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reilly Ramsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, Rory McBrandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fachtna Savic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eoin McBjarton in the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, Laban was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Coran McSteven to maneuver through the defense. After 22 minutes, Rory McBrandon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laban and the Kilrean players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Laban was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rory McBrandon to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Kilrean's goalkeeper Auley Brennan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tyrone Murphy. In a very dangerous position, a player in Laban fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! 34 minutes into the match, Laban's goal looked a bit too open when Reilly Ramsey came free, but Fachtna Savic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kilrean's zone, Bragain Caffrey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Auley Brennan came out of the goal and Bragain Caffrey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kilrean's Auley Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bragain Caffrey in the 43rd minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Bragain Caffrey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laban's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bragain Caffrey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reilly Ramsey to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bragain Caffrey in the 52nd minute of play forced Kilrean's goalkeeper Auley Brennan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reilly Ramsey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Fachtna Savic made a huge save. Coran McSteven hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Fachtna Savic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reilly Ramsey in the 64th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Eoin McBjarton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fachtna Savic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torran Ryan in the 77th minute of the match. If Bragain Caffrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tyrone Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Auley Brennan having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eoin McBjarton during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82 played minutes Kilrean got a freekick which was hit by Eoin McBjarton. Tyrone Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Auley Brennan having to interfere. Fachtna Barrett kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Bragain Caffrey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Laban booed when Kilrean was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eoin McBjarton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laban were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
