After 19 played minutes Killashandra FC got a freekick which was hit by Gerald Horgan. 21 minutes into the match, Laban's goal looked a bit too open when Booak McMichel came free, but Fachtna Savic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Laban's zone, Flannery Mulvihill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fachtna Savic came out of the goal and Flannery Mulvihill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Coran McSteven managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laban's supporters crossed their fingers, but Coran McSteven was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 30 minutes in the game, Tyrone Murphy fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Derry Willson having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Torrey Sheridan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Booak McMichel took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fachtna Savic. Fachtna Savic dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Fachtna Savic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flannery Mulvihill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bragain Caffrey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derry Willson having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Booak McMichel made the kick off in the second half. Flannery Mulvihill who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Fachtna Savic when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 53rd minute, Rory McBrandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fachtna Savic made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flannery Mulvihill in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute Flannery Mulvihill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fachtna Savic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Derry Willson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tyrone Murphy in the 71st minute of the match. If Tyrone Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Booak McMichel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fachtna Savic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Tyrone Murphy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Derry Willson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bragain Caffrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Derry Willson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torrey Sheridan's late challenge caught a Laban's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torrey Sheridan helped the player get up and apologised. Torrey Sheridan kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Booak McMichel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fachtna Savic having to interfere. Flannery Mulvihill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Fachtna Savic made a huge save. Laban's Fachtna Savic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Laban from getting a goal against them. Laban's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
