An unexpectedly hard shot by Booak McMichel in the 12th minute of play forced Knockawaddra's goalkeeper Danann Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Bannan Scully had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Derry Willson. Killashandra FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bannan Scully was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After having played for 17 minutes, Sheridan Scully managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knockawaddra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sheridan Scully was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Booak McMichel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Flannery Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Killashandra FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Berrach Caffrey hit a great ball. Keeghan Duggan, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 38th minute, Keeghan Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, one of Knockawaddra:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Knockawaddra. Bernard McWilliam shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 43 minutes into the match, Knockawaddra's goal looked a bit too open when Booak McMichel came free, but Danann Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Booak McMichel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Danann Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Bannan Scully got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Booak McMichel made the kick off in the second half. Booak McMichel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danann Hughes having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Booak McMichel in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danann Hughes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes into the game, Flannery Mulvihill cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Danann Hughes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 61 minutes into the game, Donagh Gollogley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Killashandra FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knockawaddra the free kick. In the 61st match minute, Killashandra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donagh Gollogley to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Killashandra FC's goalkeeper Derry Willson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute Donagh Gollogley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danann Hughes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 played minutes Knockawaddra got a freekick which was hit by Terrence Ferguson. Flannery Mulvihill's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danann Hughes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Sheridan Scully sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danann Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flannery Mulvihill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flannery Mulvihill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danann Hughes having to interfere. Danann Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Booak McMichel in the 80th minute of the match. Torrey Sheridan's late challenge caught a Knockawaddra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torrey Sheridan helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Bannan Scully managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knockawaddra's supporters rose to their feet, but Bannan Scully was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Derry Willson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Booak McMichel in the 95th minute of play forced Knockawaddra's goalkeeper Danann Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Killashandra FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
