Harold McNamee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eoin McBjarton in the 8th minute of the match. The supporters of Kilrean booed when Cappanaghtan Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bearchan Ghee didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harold McNamee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eoin McBjarton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reilly Ramsey who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Harold McNamee when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Harold McNamee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eoin McBjarton in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cappanaghtan Utd's zone, Reilly Ramsey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harold McNamee came out of the goal and Reilly Ramsey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eoin McBjarton in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harold McNamee saved Cappanaghtan Utd from getting behind. Cappanaghtan Utd's Harold McNamee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reilly Ramsey in the 23rd minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Eoin McBjarton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilrean's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eoin McBjarton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blanaid Savic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cappanaghtan Utd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Eoin McBjarton scored to the left of an out of position Harold McNamee, making the score, 1-0. In the 38th minute, Eoin McBjarton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Harold McNamee. The goal made the score 2-0. Auley Brennan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blanaid Savic in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Reilly Ramsey took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Harold McNamee. Harold McNamee dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Reilly Ramsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reilly Ramsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Harold McNamee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conleth Lavine's late challenge caught a Kilrean's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conleth Lavine helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cappanaghtan Utd getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Conleth Lavine hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eoin McBjarton in the 69th minute of play forced Cappanaghtan Utd's goalkeeper Harold McNamee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Eoin McBjarton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Geoffrey O'Keefe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kilrean's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
