Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rowan Costello kicked off to start the match. Rowan Costello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danann Hughes having to interfere. If Rowan Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Inchinalee's Brendann Tierney got a free kick in the 11th minute. Knockawaddra's Danann Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rowan Costello in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Inchinalee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donan McOliver to maneuver through the defense. Inchinalee's Donoghue Scully proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Inchinalee from getting a goal against them. Brendann Tierney charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brendann Tierney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th minute, Knockawaddra's Brenn O'Neill seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Brenn O'Neill the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Knockawaddra protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Brenn O'Neill had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Inchinalee. Rowan Costello stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Danann Hughes. 0-1. When Inchinalee's Rowan Costello in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Knockawaddra's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Rowan Costello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danann Hughes was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rowan Costello in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danann Hughes saved Knockawaddra from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bannan Scully stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Danann Hughes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rowan Costello's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 58th match minute, Knockawaddra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beale Gollogley to maneuver through the defense. Rowan Costello had several of the Knockawaddra's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 64 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Danann Hughes as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rowan Costello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danann Hughes having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Artur McPeter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inchinalee fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Artur McPeter struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Danann Hughes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inchinalee. Inchinalee's Rowan Costello got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Knockawaddra's Danann Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rowan Costello in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barhart Byrne in the 92nd minute of play forced Inchinalee's goalkeeper Donoghue Scully to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inchinalee's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
