Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sheridan Scully took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Knockawaddra getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Barhart Byrne hit a great ball. 4 minutes into the game, Kilrean's Reilly Ramsey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danann Hughes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, Knockawaddra's Bannan Scully nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Auley Brennan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Barhart Byrne kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Eoin McBjarton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Danann Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eoin McBjarton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danann Hughes having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Keeghan Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reilly Ramsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Danann Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Danann Hughes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Caoilte Tracy charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caoilte Tracy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, Knockawaddra's Danann Hughes got control of the ball when Eoin McBjarton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bannan Scully might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Auley Brennan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bannan Scully ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eoin McBjarton to strike the kick off in the second half. Reilly Ramsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Danann Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Eoin McBjarton came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Kilrean fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eoin McBjarton couldn't finish the play. Danann Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eoin McBjarton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sheridan Scully came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Knockawaddra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sheridan Scully couldn't finish the play. After 66 played minutes Knockawaddra got a freekick which was hit by Barhart Byrne. Eoin McBjarton took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danann Hughes. Danann Hughes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 70 minutes into the match, Kilrean's goal looked a bit too open when Sheridan Scully came free, but Auley Brennan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Eoin McBjarton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilrean's supporters rose to their feet, but Eoin McBjarton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danann Hughes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Joseph Ryan fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kilrean's protests and gave Joseph Ryan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kilrean getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Joseph Ryan hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Sheridan Scully's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Auley Brennan was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 86th minute, Reilly Ramsey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th match minute, Knockawaddra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brenn O'Neill to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Kilrean players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
