Donoghue Scully showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierce Johnson, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 11th match minute, Inchinalee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donan McOliver to maneuver through the defense. Rorry Ryan struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Donoghue Scully didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seershin. In the 20th minute, Seershin's Pierce Johnson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Donoghue Scully. Donoghue Scully yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Earnán Gough came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Donoghue Scully could save by the left post. In the 29th minute of the match Seershin got a corner. Inchinalee's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Shane McAlphie ran over to the corner to take the kick. Seershin's Shane McAlphie was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Donoghue Scully in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Petran McWillie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rowan Costello's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Seershin's zone, Brendann Tierney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petran McWillie came out of the goal and Brendann Tierney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Raymun Harkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donoghue Scully made an important save on a dangerous shot by Earnán Gough in the 43rd minute. In the 45thth minute of the game Rowan Costello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seershin's Petran McWillie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Rowan Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rowan Costello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Samuel McAaron hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Inchinalee's Rowan Costello dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 61 minutes into the match, Seershin's goal looked a bit too open when Artur McPeter came free, but Petran McWillie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rowan Costello received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Petran McWillie came out and tried to block the shot, but Rowan Costello slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 62nd minute. In the 66th minute, Earnán Gough got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute, Donan McOliver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donoghue Scully took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierce Johnson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Rowan Costello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Seershin's Pierce Johnson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donoghue Scully narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 79 minutes into the game, Seershin's Pierce Johnson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donoghue Scully made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After 93 minutes, Donan McOliver mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inchinalee and the Seershin players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes Inchinalee got a freekick which was hit by Donan McOliver. Raymun Harkin kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Earnán Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
