After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Britt Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carrig Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Britt Kirby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timothy Duggan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the match, Rossanean's goal looked a bit too open when Britt Kirby came free, but Timothy Duggan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Carrig Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy McAlphie to maneuver through the defense. Barclay McJohnny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berk McCready having to interfere. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rossanean! The referee gave Carrig Utd a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lochlainn Lester, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rossanean's Timothy Duggan. 2-1. After 46 minutes of play, Rossanean's Reginald Bayes made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Berk McCready was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Britt Kirby to strike the kick off in the second half. Lochlainn Lester kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Caimin McSteven made a precise shot to the right of Berk McCready. Carrig Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Berk McCready made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caimin McSteven in the 73rd minute of play. Berk McCready showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caimin McSteven, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Barclay McJohnny's late challenge caught a Carrig Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lochlainn Lester was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Patraic Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timothy Duggan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rossanean's zone, Brefni Silke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timothy Duggan came out of the goal and Brefni Silke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Timothy Duggan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Britt Kirby in the 89th minute of play. Brefni Silke scored 4-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Timothy Duggan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Bram McNamara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rossanean were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Carrig Utd for a fine match.
