Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Boyle McGlenn made the kick off which started today's match. With a little luck, Monneill AFC's Colm McGlynn got control of the ball when Brady McDonald tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 4th minute, Roy Kelly made a precise shot to the right of Ainnle McWilliam. Doonally's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Roy Kelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ainnle McWilliam having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Boyle McGlenn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monneill AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Seosamh McPeter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monneill AFC's Colm McGlynn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Monneill AFC from getting a goal against them. The referee felt a red card was in order, 27 minutes into the game, when Taveon Cronin put in a rough tackle. In the 27th minute, one of Monneill AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Monneill AFC. Seosamh McPeter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colm McGlynn having to interfere. After having played for 33 minutes, Seosamh McPeter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doonally's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seosamh McPeter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brady McDonald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colm McGlynn having to interfere. Brady McDonald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ainnle McWilliam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Kelly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Monneill AFC's Joseph Frankson got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Brady McDonald made a precise shot to the right of Colm McGlynn. Monneill AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Monneill AFC's Colm McGlynn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seosamh McPeter in the 52nd minute of play. Seosamh McPeter struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Colm McGlynn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Doonally. In the 66th minute of the match Lee John shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Colm McGlynn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Roy Kelly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Colm McGlynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brady McDonald in the 76th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Seosamh McPeter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Colm McGlynn was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Seosamh McPeter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Colm McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Monneill AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Brady McDonald came free, but Colm McGlynn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90thth minute of the game Seosamh McPeter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monneill AFC's Colm McGlynn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Doonally's Ainnle McWilliam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Doonally from getting a goal against them. Seosamh McPeter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colm McGlynn having to interfere. The Monneill AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
