Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Brendon John got the match started through his kick off. Cormac Branson hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Bairre Horgan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brefni McGlenn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bradain McGlenn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brefni McGlenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bairre Horgan having to interfere. In the 16th minute Brefni McGlenn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bairre Horgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rineanna's goalkeeper Bairre Horgan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Rineanna booed when Barraduff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baptist McBjarton didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Teris Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bradain McGlenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bairre Horgan having to interfere. After 31 minutes of play, Barraduff's Bradain McGlenn made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bairre Horgan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teris Costello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Brefni McGlenn came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Barraduff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brefni McGlenn couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Rineanna getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Teris Costello hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brefni McGlenn to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Barraduff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brefni McGlenn to maneuver through the defense. Bradain McGlenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bairre Horgan having to interfere. Bradain McGlenns short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Bairre Horgan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Rineanna's Donelle Ghee got a free kick in the 67th minute. When Bradain McGlenn came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Barraduff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bradain McGlenn couldn't finish the play. Brefni McGlenn received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bairre Horgan came out and tried to block the shot, but Brefni McGlenn slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 70th minute. Ainnle Horgan hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Barraduff's Baptist McBjarton broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Bradain McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Bairre Horgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brefni McGlenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bradain McGlenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bairre Horgan having to interfere. If Bradain McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Barraduff eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
