With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brakawn Horgan in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Colm McGlynn saved Monneill AFC from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, Monneill AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Brakawn Horgan came free, but Colm McGlynn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rooney Byrne struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Colm McGlynn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calluragh. Brakawn Horgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Colm McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Monneill AFC defense, Brakawn Horgan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Colm McGlynn. The Monneill AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Colm McGlynn should have stopped the shot. After 33 minutes, Baiste Scully mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calluragh and the Monneill AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Baiste Scully kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Monneill AFC got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Frankson. A collision led to Monneill AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Joseph Frankson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brakawn Horgan in the 41st minute of play forced Monneill AFC's goalkeeper Colm McGlynn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Colm McGlynn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Treno McWillie showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. Críostóir Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colm McGlynn having to interfere. Monneill AFC's Colm McGlynn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Monneill AFC from getting a goal against them. Colm McGlynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rooney Byrne in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Brakawn Horgan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Calluragh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Colm McGlynn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brakawn Horgan in the 73rd minute. After 79 played minutes Monneill AFC got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Frankson. Brakawn Horgan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Colm McGlynn made a huge save.
