In the 13th match minute, Barraduff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baptist McBjarton to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Seoirse McTom in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basil Ferguson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 17 minutes, Seoirse McTom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Annfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seoirse McTom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Annfield's Seoirse McTom in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barraduff's goalie prevented a goal. Bradain McGlenn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Auley McJames made a huge save. After 23 played minutes Annfield got a freekick which was hit by Seoirse McTom. 29 minutes into the match, Bradain McGlenn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Auley McJames. Annfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bradain McGlenn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 32ndth minute of the game Brefni McGlenn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Annfield's Auley McJames was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Seoirse McTom blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basil Ferguson having to make a save. 39 minutes into the match, Barraduff's goal looked a bit too open when Seoirse McTom came free, but Basil Ferguson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basil Ferguson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seoirse McTom in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Seoirse McTom cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Basil Ferguson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to Annfield getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Cáirbre Callaghan hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Blanche McSteven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Annfield's Rowan Scully broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 59 minutes, Artuir McLian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Annfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artuir McLian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Seoirse McTom kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Basil Ferguson. That made the score 1-2 in the 71 minute of play. Auley McJames showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brefni McGlenn in the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Seoirse McTom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Annfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Seoirse McTom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basil Ferguson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Annfield booed when Barraduff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brefni McGlenn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Seoirse McTom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil Ferguson having to interfere. After having played for 84 minutes, Brefni McGlenn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barraduff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brefni McGlenn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Seoirse McTom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Seoirse McTom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Basil Ferguson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Begg Deans kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Rowan Scully was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
