Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jarlath McGlenn started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Briain McJohn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gortnagane FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Briain McJohn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berk McCready breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Berk McCready showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarlath McGlenn in the 9th minute of the match. Briain McJohn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Berk McCready tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carrig Utd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Brennen Hutton scored to the left of an out of position Berk McCready, making the score, 1-0. Jarlath McGlenn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Berk McCready read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Gearoid Deery charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gearoid Deery the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th minute, Gearoid Deery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Berk McCready managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Gortnagane FC's Briain McJohn fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Jarlath McGlenn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Berk McCready was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After 38 minutes of play, Gortnagane FC's Briain McJohn made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Berk McCready was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jarlath McGlenn might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Berk McCready. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jarlath McGlenn ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The audience was convinced that Jarlath McGlenn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Berk McCready was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Berk McCready came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Gortnagane FC's Briain McJohn. But to his dismay, Briain McJohn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The Gortnagane FC fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Gortnagane FC's Briain McJohn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 77th minute, Brefni Silke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Berk McCready made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Briain McJohn in the 84th minute of play. In the 91st minute Treno McAaron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berk McCready saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gortnagane FC fully deserved thier win.
