But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donelle Ghee couldn't finish the play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brendon John made a kick off. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rineanna's goalkeeper Bairre Horgan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Teris Costello fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rineanna's protests and gave Teris Costello a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Teris Costello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyle McGlenn in the 72nd minute of play forced Rineanna's goalkeeper Bairre Horgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rineanna's Bairre Horgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boyle McGlenn in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute Roy Kelly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bairre Horgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roy Kelly in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bairre Horgan saved Rineanna from getting behind. In the 82nd match minute, Rineanna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teris Costello to maneuver through the defense. Bairre Horgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boyle McGlenn, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Monneill AFC's Colm McGlynn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Monneill AFC from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the match, Boyle McGlenn notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Rineanna's Bairre Horgan. Bairre Horgan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Brendon John kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Bairre Horgan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyle McGlenn in the 99th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rineanna players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Monneill AFC.
