Spectators: 6765 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Boyle McGlenn started the match with the kick off. Peter Hamilton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barin Deans hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Peter Hamilton 's late challenge caught a Gortnagane FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Hamilton helped the player get up and apologised. Peter Hamilton kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Briain Grant took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Colm McGlynn. Monneill AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gortnagane FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Boyle McGlenn 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. When Bivitas McJohn came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Gortnagane FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bivitas McJohn couldn't finish the play. If Bivitas McJohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Gearoid Deery cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Colm McGlynn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Colm McGlynn came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Gortnagane FC's Jarlath McGlenn. But to his dismay, Jarlath McGlenn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 37th minute, Brennen Hutton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Monneill AFC's Peter Hamilton pulled a muscle in his leg after 38 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 38 minutes into the game, Barin Deans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gortnagane FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monneill AFC the free kick. In the 39th minute, Barin Deans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Taveon Cronin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bivitas McJohn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Colm McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barin Deans kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The Monneill AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gortnagane FC were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jarlath McGlenn to make the kick off. Brennen Hutton might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Colm McGlynn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brennen Hutton ran back to his position shaking his head. Jarlath McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Colm McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brennen Hutton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Colm McGlynn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jarlath McGlenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jarlath McGlenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bradigan Hamilton hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jarlath McGlenn got free with Colm McGlynn in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jarlath McGlenn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Colm McGlynn made a huge save. Jarlath McGlenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roy Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Brennen McVictor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Boyle McGlenn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st match minute, Monneill AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradigan Hamilton to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 92 minutes, Jarlath McGlenn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gortnagane FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarlath McGlenn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jarlath McGlenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Gortnagane FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Monneill AFC.
