The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Barhart Todd struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Timothy Duggan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paulsworth Utd. Timothy Duggan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barhart Todd in the 18th minute of the match. Reginald Bayes's late challenge caught a Paulsworth Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reginald Bayes helped the player get up and apologised. Paulsworth Utd's Gearoid Mullan got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caimin McSteven recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rossanean's Timothy Duggan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gearoid Mullan in the 30th minute of play. Gearoid Mullan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Timothy Duggan having to make a save. After 38th play minutes Barhart Todd shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Timothy Duggan and just under the crossbar into goal. Paulsworth Utd's Alex McCollion proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Paulsworth Utd from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barhart Todd in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timothy Duggan saved Rossanean from getting behind. During the 47th minute of the match Reginald Bayes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Reginald Bayes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After the first half Paulsworth Utd were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gearoid Mullan was the one to do the kick off. Timothy Duggan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gearoid Mullan, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Timothy Duggan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gearoid Mullan in the 64th minute of the match. With a little luck, Rossanean's Timothy Duggan got control of the ball when Barhart Todd tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulsworth Utd's Barhart Todd got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Timothy Duggan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barhart Todd in the 74th minute. Barhart Todd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Timothy Duggan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timothy Duggan made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Barhart Todd sent off a good shot on target. 98 minutes into the match, Paulsworth Utd's Barhart Todd sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Timothy Duggan narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
