Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kealan Grant kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Blanche McSteven got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th minute, Beineon Crowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Kealan Grant notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Barraduff's Basil Ferguson. Basil Ferguson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bradain McGlenn got free with Barnaby Caffey in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barraduff's Bradain McGlenn pulled a muscle in his back after 30 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 30 minutes, Beatty Delaney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballybrew and the Barraduff players grew even worse after the yellow card. Beatty Delaney hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Basil Ferguson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brandon McFrank in the 35th minute of play. After 39 minutes, Kealan Grant made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Barraduff's Basil Ferguson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Brefni McGlenn made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ballybrew booed when Barraduff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beineon Crowe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 53 minutes, Kealan Grant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballybrew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kealan Grant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Basil Ferguson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brandon McFrank in the 62nd minute of play. Basil Ferguson made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Kealan Grant sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kealan Grant got free with Basil Ferguson in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 82 played minutes Ballybrew got a freekick which was hit by Beatty Delaney. Barnaby Caffey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brefni McGlenn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barraduff's Basil Ferguson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Barraduff from getting a goal against them. Teagan McJohn hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 92 played minutes, Barraduff's Baptist McBjarton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Barnaby Caffey came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barraduff reached it. Kealan Grant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Barraduff supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ballybrew's performance. The match ended with a win for Ballybrew.
