Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Caimin McSteven got the match started through his kick off. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rooney Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Rossanean got a freekick which was hit by Bram McNamara. Rossanean's Timothy Duggan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donell Frankson in the 18th minute of play. If Brakawn Horgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rooney Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timothy Duggan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rossanean's zone, Brakawn Horgan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timothy Duggan came out of the goal and Brakawn Horgan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Baiste Scully managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calluragh's supporters rose to their feet, but Baiste Scully was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timothy Duggan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timothy Duggan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baiste Scully, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Brakawn Horgan in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Timothy Duggan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Rossanean's zone, Bellaghy Deery stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timothy Duggan came out of the goal and Bellaghy Deery tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Rossanean's goalkeeper Timothy Duggan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brakawn Horgan. After having played for 47 minutes, Brakawn Horgan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calluragh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brakawn Horgan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brakawn Horgan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Críostóir Kirby in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timothy Duggan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Rossanean's Bram McNamara in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Calluragh's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Rossanean booed when Calluragh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartley McPeter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boynton McVictor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gordon Cronin in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rooney Byrne in the 90th minute of play forced Rossanean's goalkeeper Timothy Duggan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
