Blar McJames received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Coran McJohnny came out and tried to block the shot, but Blar McJames slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Blar McJames managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shanlaragh AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Blar McJames was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Coran McJohnny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shanlaragh AFC's attentive Bohannon Ryan managed to snatch the ball when Edward Myler made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. Blar McJames might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Coran McJohnny. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blar McJames ran back to his position shaking his head. 32 minutes into the match, Laurencetown's goalkeeper Coran McJohnny had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blar McJames. With a little luck, Laurencetown's Coran McJohnny got control of the ball when Blar McJames tried to sneak it across the goal line. Blar McJames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute of the match, Blar McJames tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Coran McJohnny saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

In the 53rd minute, Blar McJames got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edward Myler made in the 55th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Berchan McPhil however managed to control. Coran McJohnny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blar McJames, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Berchan McPhil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Brennan Coyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edward Myler made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Shanlaragh AFC's Bohannon Ryan. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Shanlaragh AFC fully deserved thier win.
