The supporters of Aghaville AFC booed when Baileborough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron O'Keefe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rowen Willson hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Baileborough's goalkeeper Rannal O'Brien had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hickey Benson. Rannal O'Brien made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hickey Benson in the 25th minute. A collision led to Baileborough getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Brendann O'Neill hit a great ball. If Doney Glen Crowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Doney Glen Crowe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aghaville AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Doney Glen Crowe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rannal O'Brien breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baileborough's Brendann O'Neill got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hickey Benson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 34th playminute. After 38 played minutes Aghaville AFC got a freekick which was hit by Doney Glen Crowe. Beairtle Moran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rowen Willson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doney Glen Crowe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baileborough's Rannal O'Brien proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Baileborough from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Aghaville AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Bairre Walker hit a great ball. In the 48th minute, Biviti Hutton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 55th minute, Keefe McSteve ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rannal O'Brien was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hickey Benson in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rannal O'Brien prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Jeremiah Harkin fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aghaville AFC's protests and gave Jeremiah Harkin a yellow card for diving instead. Rowen Willson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beairtle Moran having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Breccan McSteve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Aghaville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Brendann O'Neill came free, but Beairtle Moran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Hickey Benson sped through Baileborough's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rannal O'Brien. Beairtle Moran acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Biviti Hutton. 94 minutes into the match, Aghaville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Brendann O'Neill came free, but Beairtle Moran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
