Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Harley McTommy started the match with the kick off. Berchan McPhil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Braonain Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás McCready's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Braonain Byrne read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Coran McJohnny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shamus Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás McCready in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Braonain Byrne, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Saoirse McLian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braonain Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás McCready, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Tomás McCready shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braonain Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shamus Byrne kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, Saoirse McLian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laurencetown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Srananagh Utd the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, Laurencetown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saoirse McLian to maneuver through the defense. After 47 played minutes Laurencetown got a freekick which was hit by Donavin McLaughlin. Bard McPaul took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Coran McJohnny. Laurencetown's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After having played for 52 minutes, Bradagain McPaul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Srananagh Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradagain McPaul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 55 played minutes Srananagh Utd got a freekick which was hit by Bradagain McPaul. The supporters of Srananagh Utd booed when Laurencetown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Myler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes Laurencetown got a freekick which was hit by Saoirse McLian. Bradagain McPaul might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Coran McJohnny. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bradagain McPaul ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás McCready in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Braonain Byrne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Saoirse Ramsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saoirse McLian might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Braonain Byrne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saoirse McLian ran back to his position shaking his head. Beamard Mulvihill hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harley McTommy in the 72nd minute of play forced Laurencetown's goalkeeper Coran McJohnny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 minutes, Gordon Ryan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Srananagh Utd and the Laurencetown players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Srananagh Utd's Gordon Ryan got a free kick in the 76th minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Harley McTommy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The referee gave Gordon Ryan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 87th minute, Gordon Ryan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás McCready in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Braonain Byrne saved Srananagh Utd from getting behind. A collision led to Srananagh Utd getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Shamus Byrne hit a great ball. Brickeen Sheridan's late challenge caught a Srananagh Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brickeen Sheridan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, Laurencetown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brickeen Sheridan to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Bard McPaul sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Laurencetown's Coran McJohnny didn't even have to move.
