Troy McPhilip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Briony Tracy in the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th minute Beagan Frankson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Troy McPhilip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Briony Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Troy McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Troy McPhilip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beagan Frankson in the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Island AFC booed when Ballyteige Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beary McPhil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beary McPhil hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ballyteige Utd's zone, Beagan Frankson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Troy McPhilip came out of the goal and Beagan Frankson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Troy McPhilip came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Island AFC's Briony Tracy. But to his dismay, Briony Tracy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Troy McPhilip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beagan Frankson in the 28th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Séamus O'Keefe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Briony Tracy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Island AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Briony Tracy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Troy McPhilip breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Briony Tracy struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Troy McPhilip didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Island AFC. Briony Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Troy McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Island AFC's Beagan Frankson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Troy McPhilip narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kealan McAlphie hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Beary McPhil kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Beagan Frankson made a kick off. Tipper MaCollin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Briony Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blamhac Ryan kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Bairrionn McBjarton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Troy McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beagan Frankson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Troy McPhilip having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Briony Tracy in the 73rd minute of play forced Ballyteige Utd's goalkeeper Troy McPhilip to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Troy McPhilip showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beagan Frankson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Briony Tracy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Island AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Briony Tracy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Beagan Frankson came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Island AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beagan Frankson couldn't finish the play. With his leg Troy McPhilip managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Island AFC's Briony Tracy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 86th minute Beagan Frankson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Troy McPhilip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Beagan Frankson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Island AFC's Beagan Frankson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Troy McPhilip narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Briony Tracy came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Island AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Briony Tracy couldn't finish the play. Ballyteige Utd's Troy McPhilip played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beagan Frankson in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Island AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ballyteige Utd.
