Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Begley Brennan in the 6th minute of play forced Dungloe's goalkeeper Blathmacc Brennan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 minutes of play, Kilpierce's Beatty McJon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Blathmacc Brennan was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 12th minute, Kilpierce's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bartley Dempsey fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 15 minutes into the match, Bartley Dempsey dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Toran Hughes, 1-1. When Tierney Ghee fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dungloe's protests and gave Tierney Ghee a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Dungloe got a freekick which was hit by Tierney Ghee. If Conn MaCollin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bartley Dempsey who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Toran Hughes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Dungloe booed when Kilpierce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davie Savic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toran Hughes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Conn MaCollin's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Peadair McJohnny kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. When Beatty McJon came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Kilpierce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beatty McJon couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Kilpierce's zone, Conn MaCollin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toran Hughes came out of the goal and Conn MaCollin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 40 played minutes Kilpierce got a freekick which was hit by Barran Mulvihill. Toran Hughes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartley Dempsey in the 41st minute. Conn MaCollin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Conn MaCollin made the kick off in the second half. When Conn MaCollin came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Dungloe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conn MaCollin couldn't finish the play. Conn MaCollin struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Toran Hughes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dungloe. After 56 minutes, Bartley Dempsey made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Kilpierce's Toran Hughes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dungloe's Blathmacc Brennan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Dungloe from getting a goal against them. Bartley Dempsey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Beatty McJon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Blathmacc Brennan was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Bartley Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toran Hughes having to interfere. Conn MaCollin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes in the game, Beatty McJon dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Tirloch Ramsey kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caolán Branson during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Bartley Dempsey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dungloe's supporters rose to their feet, but Bartley Dempsey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toran Hughes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Kilpierce's Beatty McJon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Blathmacc Brennan. That made the score 3-2 after 83 minutes of play. After 87 played minutes, Dungloe's Payton McBrand shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Toran Hughes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dungloe reached it. There was no doubt that Dungloe were the better team. Dungloe's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
