Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Barclay McFrank kicked off to start the match. Gavin Harkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beagan Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barclay McFrank in the 9th minute of play forced Rockland's goalkeeper Derrick McGlenn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cloonlumny booed when Rockland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrew Todd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rockland's Derrick McGlenn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Rockland from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Carrig Molloy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gavin Harkin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Rockland booed when Cloonlumny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donell MaCollin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henry McPeter got free with Derrick McGlenn in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rockland's Boyce MaCollin got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donell MaCollin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derrick McGlenn having to interfere. When Rockland's Beagan Walker in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cloonlumny's goalie prevented a goal. Cloonlumny's Gavin Harkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carrig Molloy in the 45th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Cloonlumny got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Lavine. Gill Ferguson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gavin Harkin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beagan Walker to strike the kick off in the second half. Derrick McGlenn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barclay McFrank in the 55th minute of the match. Cloonlumny's Gavin Harkin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Cloonlumny from getting a goal against them. Gavin Harkin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beagan Walker in the 60th minute. Derrick McGlenn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry McPeter in the 66th minute of the match. Cloonlumny's Declan McJames managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jack Colwell in the 68 minute of the game. Carrig Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cloonlumny's zone, Carrig Molloy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavin Harkin came out of the goal and Carrig Molloy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Carrig Molloy fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Barclay McFrank came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Cloonlumny fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barclay McFrank couldn't finish the play. Gavin Harkin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beagan Walker in the 89th minute. Andrew Todd kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Declan McJames fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cloonlumny's protests and gave Declan McJames a yellow card for diving instead. 95 minutes into the game, Beagan Walker recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gavin Harkin. Beagan Walker showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rockland walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
