Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 3 minutes, Braddon Delaney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Murrough and the Rockland players grew even worse after the yellow card. 2 minutes into the game, one of Murrough:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Brannen Delaney, was totally fooled by Rockland's Gill Ferguson, who 4 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of Rockland booed when Murrough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braddon Delaney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Derrick McGlenn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Hughes in the 9th minute of play. Rockland's Derrick McGlenn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donn Dunne in the 13th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Donn Dunne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derrick McGlenn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute Donleavy Gough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derrick McGlenn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Murrough's Brannen Delaney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beagan Walker in the 27th minute of play. If Carrig Molloy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Donoghue Beckett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute of the match Gill Ferguson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brannen Delaney showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Beagan Walker came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Rockland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beagan Walker couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the game, Beagan Walker lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Brannen Delaney. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Beagan Walker to make the kick off. Boyce MaCollin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 57 minutes, Boyce MaCollin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rockland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boyce MaCollin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexander Hughes's late challenge caught a Rockland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Hughes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rockland booed when Murrough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Hughes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Rockland fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Rockland's Beagan Walker looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 63rdth minute of the game Beagan Walker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Murrough's Brannen Delaney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Murrough defense, Bealtaine MaCollin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brannen Delaney. The Murrough fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brannen Delaney should have stopped the shot. Beagan Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brannen Delaney having to interfere. Carrig Molloy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brannen Delaney having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beagan Walker in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brannen Delaney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beagan Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Brannen Delaney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beagan Walker in the 78th minute of play forced Murrough's goalkeeper Brannen Delaney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Rockland defense, Donleavy Gough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Derrick McGlenn. The Rockland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Derrick McGlenn should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Murrough getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Giles O'Keefe hit a great ball. The Rockland fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Rockland's Beagan Walker looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Beagan Walker might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brannen Delaney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beagan Walker ran back to his position shaking his head. 92 minutes into the match, Beagan Walker notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Murrough's Brannen Delaney. Brannen Delaney was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Murrough's Donn Dunne got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rockland fully deserved thier win.
