Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Beagan Walker took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Brannagh Bayes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Derrick McGlenn. Brannagh Bayes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Gabhran Utd's zone, Beagan Walker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ros Ramsey came out of the goal and Beagan Walker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Rockland getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jack Colwell hit a great ball. Rockland's Derrick McGlenn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brannagh Bayes in the 10th minute of play. Begg Duggan charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Begg Duggan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Begg Duggan kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Derrick McGlenn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Begg Duggan, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Derrick McGlenn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bowie Crowe in the 15th minute. The supporters of Gabhran Utd booed when Rockland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bealtaine MaCollin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Brannagh Bayes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gabhran Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brannagh Bayes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Rockland getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Andrew Todd hit a great ball. In the 21st minute of the match Bealtaine MaCollin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ros Ramsey showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Gill Ferguson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Gabhran Utd's Bradaigh McJohnny dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Gabhran Utd's Shamus McTom got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Beagan Walker notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Gabhran Utd's Ros Ramsey. Ros Ramsey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 38 played minutes Rockland got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Todd. Derrick McGlenn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Begg Duggan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Raonall Molloy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brannagh Bayes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Derrick McGlenn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ros Ramsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beagan Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Carrig Molloy's late challenge caught a Gabhran Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carrig Molloy helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gabhran Utd booed when Rockland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carrig Molloy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Begg Duggan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Rockland defense, Bowie Crowe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Derrick McGlenn. The Rockland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Derrick McGlenn should have stopped the shot. Brannagh Bayes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derrick McGlenn having to interfere. Bowie Crowe charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bowie Crowe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, Bowie Crowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Begg Duggan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. Begg Duggan hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Brett McGlynn sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Ros Ramsey threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Brett McGlynn this time. Bannon McNamee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derrick McGlenn having to interfere. Derrick McGlenn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bannon McNamee's shot from short distance in the 97th minute.
