The tension between the Deelis and the Rockland players grew even worse after the yellow card. Breanainn Sheridan kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Beagan Walker might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brendanus Ghee . Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beagan Walker ran back to his position shaking his head. Brendanus Ghee stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beagan Walker's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. When Beagan Walker in the 18th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Brendanus Ghee kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Becc Hamilton in the 24th minute of play forced Rockland's goalkeeper Derrick McGlenn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Jack Colwell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deelis's Breanainn Sheridan got his second yellow card of the match in the 44th minute. The referee ordered Breanainn Sheridan off the ground. Deelis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rockland the free kick. A collision led to Deelis getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Becc Hamilton hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
Taveon Gillmour hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Brendanus Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gill Ferguson in the 54th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Raymun Dalton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deelis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rockland the free kick. Raymun Dalton kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 66 played minutes Rockland got a freekick which was hit by Bealtaine MaCollin. Beagan Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Brendanus Ghee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casey Kirby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. When Carrig Molloy fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rockland's protests and gave Carrig Molloy a yellow card for diving instead. After 72 played minutes Rockland got a freekick which was hit by Carrig Molloy. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Beagan Walker managed to get in a good position for a shot. After 82 played minutes Deelis got a freekick which was hit by Becc Hamilton . Beagan Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendanus Ghee having to interfere. When Beagan Walker came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Rockland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beagan Walker couldn't finish the play. Carrig Molloy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendanus Ghee having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Carrig Molloy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rockland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carrig Molloy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cian O'Down's late challenge caught a Rockland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cian O'Down helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Cian O'Down hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brett McGlynn charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brett McGlynn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tate Doherty walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Deelis players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rockland.
