Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beagan Walker in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tobin Matthews prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute, Breannain Hutton fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The long shot by Dolan McTommy in the 20th minute really tested Derrick McGlenn's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Todd Quinnless got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Robin Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Derrick McGlenn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute of the match Carrig Molloy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tobin Matthews skillfully saved the ball. Beagan Walker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Beagan Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36thth minute of the game Beagan Walker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tromra's Tobin Matthews was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Rockland:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tromra:s goal. Dolan McTommy placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The audience was convinced that Beagan Walker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tobin Matthews was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Todd Quinnless got free with Derrick McGlenn in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Derrick McGlenn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Mullan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the game, Beagan Walker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rockland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tromra the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rockland's Beagan Walker got a free kick in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Rockland's goal looked a bit too open when Blanche Cronin came free, but Derrick McGlenn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Blanche Cronin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Derrick McGlenn. Rockland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blanche Cronin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Rockland's Beagan Walker slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tobin Matthews. That made the score 1-1 after 80 minutes of play. With his leg Tobin Matthews managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Rockland's Beagan Walker fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 87th match minute, Tromra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Mullan to maneuver through the defense. Breannain Hutton took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Derrick McGlenn. Derrick McGlenn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Breannain Hutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breannain Hutton in the 96th minute of play forced Rockland's goalkeeper Derrick McGlenn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
