Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henry McPeter ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Henry McPeter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloonlumny's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry McPeter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braon Horgan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barclay McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braon Horgan having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Binne Silke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 15 minutes on the clock, Oliver Lavine commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 14th minute, one of Cloonlumny:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cloonlumny. The goalkeeper, Gavin Harkin, was totally fooled by Fews's Ennis Cassin, who 16 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Henry McPeter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braon Horgan having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cloonlumny's Saoirse McPaul got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 27 minutes into the game, Cloonlumny's Declan McJames nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Braon Horgan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Gavin Harkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Becan Lavine, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cloonlumny's zone, Brenden Grant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavin Harkin came out of the goal and Brenden Grant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cloonlumny booed when Fews was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brenden Grant didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute Becan Lavine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavin Harkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Becan Lavine made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Brecc Frankson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cloonlumny and the Fews players grew even worse after the yellow card. Brecc Frankson hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Brenden Grant had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavin Harkin. Cloonlumny's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brenden Grant was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 62nd match minute, Fews was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Binne Silke to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Iarla McNamara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gavin Harkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Becan Lavine in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Fews's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Donell MaCollin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 73rd minute, Declan McJames got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Fews getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Binne Silke hit a great ball. Binne Silke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gavin Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Donell MaCollin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brenden Grant scored 4-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gavin Harkin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute Brenden Grant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavin Harkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavin Harkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brenden Grant in the 91st minute of the match. Gavin Harkin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Becan Lavine went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score.
