Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Banon Ghee was a little too slow when Barhan Rogers got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Northgrove FC! Carson McWill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pearse Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Auley Grant in the 20th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barhan Rogers during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Barhan Rogers hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Auley Grant managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloghroe's supporters rose to their feet, but Auley Grant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pearse Mullan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conaill McNamara in the 24th minute of play forced Northgrove FC's goalkeeper Pearse Mullan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cloghroe's Auley Grant got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pearse Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Auley Grant in the 34th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Northgrove FC's Carson McWill sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Banon Ghee narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 53rd minute, Conaill McNamara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pearse Mullan. The goal made the score 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carson McWill in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Banon Ghee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carson McWill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Banon Ghee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Carson McWill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Northgrove FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cloghroe the free kick. In the 65th minute, Carson McWill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Northgrove FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Gordan Perth hit a great ball. In the 71st minute of the match Brenda McMichel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pearse Mullan skillfully saved the ball. Conaill McNamara might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pearse Mullan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conaill McNamara ran back to his position shaking his head. Barhan Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute Barhan Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Banon Ghee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pearse Mullan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conaill McNamara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Carson McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th match minute, Cloghroe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brenda McMichel to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Northgrove FC booed when Cloghroe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brenda McMichel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cloghroe's Banon Ghee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carson McWill in the 93rd minute of play. Cloghroe's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
