Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bohannon Kelly got the match started through his kick off. When Bradon McBrandon fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gortaheera's protests and gave Bradon McBrandon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rathwire booed when Gortaheera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradon McBrandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Rathwire getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Lee Martyn hit a great ball. Boyle McAlphie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bohannon Kelly in the 14th minute. Bohannon Kelly took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boyle McAlphie. Boyle McAlphie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. If Bohannon Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gortaheera's Thomas Savic got a free kick in the 36th minute. Carson Rutherford charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carson Rutherford the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gortaheera getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Carson Rutherford hit a great ball. If Bohannon Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Benen Jameson made the kick off in the second half. Gortaheera's Bohannon Kelly got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute Bohannon Kelly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyle McAlphie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rathwire's Boyle McAlphie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bohannon Kelly in the 63rd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Bairne McNamee in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gortaheera's Carson Rutherford. Lee Martyn kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Lee Martyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Rory Scully made a huge save. Rory Scully made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benen Jameson in the 94th minute of play. The supporters of Rathwire booed when Gortaheera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reidy Willson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gortaheera's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
