The supporters of Cloghroe booed when Cappavicar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barram McNamee didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cappavicar's zone, Conaill McNamara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barley McOliver came out of the goal and Conaill McNamara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cloghroe's Conaill McNamara in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cappavicar's goalie prevented a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barram McNamee to make the kick off. After 57 played minutes Cappavicar got a freekick which was hit by Herne Robinson. Barley McOliver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conaill McNamara in the 58th minute of the match. When Bairthmead McAlphie fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cloghroe's protests and gave Bairthmead McAlphie a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Bairthmead McAlphie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cianán Walker took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Banon Ghee. Cloghroe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 72 minutes, Donan Walker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cloghroe and the Cappavicar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cappavicar's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Riddock Duggan 74 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Conaill McNamara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barley McOliver having to interfere. Riddock Duggan charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Riddock Duggan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cappavicar booed when Cloghroe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Riddock Duggan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 86 in the game by Auley Grant from a close distance when the talented Barley McOliver managed to make a qualified save. Cappavicar's players were relieved. Barley McOliver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conaill McNamara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Cloghroe's Conaill McNamara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Barley McOliver narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cloghroe played a much better game than Cappavicar and deserved their victory. The Cappavicar players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
