Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kerrigan Colwell started the match with the kick off. Donlan McVictor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Boyle McAlphie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute Kerrigan Colwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyle McAlphie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Doolin fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Doolin's Kerrigan Colwell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Benen Jameson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Beag McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beag McWill got free with Artuir Deans in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Cullan Murphy fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Doolin's protests and gave Cullan Murphy a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Doolin got a freekick which was hit by Cullan Murphy. The supporters of Rathwire booed when Doolin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brandan Robinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kerrigan Colwell took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boyle McAlphie. Boyle McAlphie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 34 played minutes Doolin got a freekick which was hit by Cullan Murphy. After some careless play in the Rathwire defense, Kerrigan Colwell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boyle McAlphie. The Rathwire fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boyle McAlphie should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute Benen Jameson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artuir Deans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kerrigan Colwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Boyle McAlphie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benen Jameson to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Kerrigan Colwell kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Boyle McAlphie. That made the score 0-4 in the 57 minute of play. If Kerrigan Colwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Kerrigan Colwell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boyle McAlphie was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 64th minute, one of Rathwire:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rathwire. Boyle McAlphie had in the 65thth minute some difficulties stopping Brenden McJohnny's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 68 minutes, Artt McWill mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rathwire and the Doolin players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Doolin booed when Rathwire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artt McWill didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Doolin's Boyle McAlphie threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kerrigan Colwell, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 78th minute of the match Justin Ferguson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artuir Deans skillfully saved the ball. If Benen Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bairne McNamee's late challenge caught a Doolin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bairne McNamee helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Rathwire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bairne McNamee to maneuver through the defense. After 87 minutes Rathwire's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Brenden McJohnny who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gaynor Gollogley almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rathwire's Boyle McAlphie did a great save. Donald Walker hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Artuir Deans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beag McWill in the 96th minute of the match. Doolin's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
