Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Breaghdha Silke kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Bellavary's Artt McCollion got a free kick in the 5th minute. Beatty McPeter got a throw-in 8 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Donagh McGlynn. In the 19th minute, Barry McDonald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bohannon Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Bivadi Tracy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bohannon Kelly came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Gortaheera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bohannon Kelly couldn't finish the play. Bohannon Kelly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Breaghdha Silke struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Rory Scully didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bellavary. With a little luck, Gortaheera's Rory Scully got control of the ball when Geoffrey Horgan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 35 minutes, Breccan McNamara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gortaheera and the Bellavary players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Gortaheera getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Breccan McNamara hit a great ball. If Breaghdha Silke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. Flannery Silke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Rory Scully made a huge save. In the 46th minute Breaghdha Silke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rory Scully saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The corner ended in Reidy Willson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bellavary's Bivadi Tracy did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bohannon Kelly got free with Bivadi Tracy in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gortaheera's Rory Scully played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breaghdha Silke in the 66th minute of play. During the 71st minute of the match Breccan McNamara completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Breccan McNamara a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 72 played minutes Gortaheera got a freekick which was hit by Breccan McNamara. In the 76th minute Breaghdha Silke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rory Scully saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bohannon Kelly came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Gortaheera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bohannon Kelly couldn't finish the play. Bivadi Tracy made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Bohannon Kelly sent off a good shot on target. After 84 played minutes Gortaheera got a freekick which was hit by Boyne McPeter. The supporters of Bellavary booed when Gortaheera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barry McDonald didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rory Scully showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flannery Silke in the 94th minute of the match. After 95 played minutes Bellavary got a freekick which was hit by Flannery Silke. Bellavary were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gortaheera for a fine match.
