Finglas AFC's Cahir Doherty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carson McWill in the 12th minute of play. Barhan Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cahir Doherty stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carson McWill's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Carson McWill put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cahir Doherty. The audience was convinced that Carson McWill's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cahir Doherty was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 32ndth minute of the game Carson McWill who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Finglas AFC's Cahir Doherty was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barhan Rogers in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cahir Doherty saved Finglas AFC from getting behind. Barhan Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Cahir Doherty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cahir Doherty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carson McWill in the 41st minute of play. Barhan Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cahir Doherty having to interfere. Brickeen Delaney kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The Finglas AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Northgrove FC were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Carson McWill made the kick off in the second half. When Northgrove FC's Carson McWill in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Derin Mullan hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Baoithin Costello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cahir Doherty. Finglas AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baoithin Costello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Cahir Doherty made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barhan Rogers in the 75th minute. Roordan McSteve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pearse Mullan having to interfere. A well placed Carson McWill short distance shot in the 81st minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. 88 minutes into the match, Barhan Rogers notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Finglas AFC's Cahir Doherty. Cahir Doherty was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tiarnan Palmer was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 93rd minute, Tiarnan Palmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roordan McSteve in the 94th minute of play forced Northgrove FC's goalkeeper Pearse Mullan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 97 played minutes Finglas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bard Molloy. Northgrove FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
