Banon Ghee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beag McWill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Cloghroe's Riddock Duggan got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Benen Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cloghroe's Conaill McNamara got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Benen Jameson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Cloghroe's Banon Ghee. Banon Ghee was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Banon Ghee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beag McWill in the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Rathwire's Justin Ferguson got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Auley Grant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Boyle McAlphie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benen Jameson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Auley Grant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyle McAlphie having to interfere. Auley Grant struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Boyle McAlphie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloghroe. When Cloghroe's Conaill McNamara in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rathwire's goalie prevented a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benen Jameson to strike the kick off in the second half. Cloghroe's Banon Ghee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benen Jameson in the 52nd minute of play. Donan Walker kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After having played for 53 minutes, Beag McWill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rathwire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beag McWill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Conaill McNamara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 61st minute Benen Jameson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Banon Ghee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Benen Jameson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Artt McWill charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artt McWill the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Artt McWill kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Banon Ghee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benen Jameson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conaill McNamara in the 77th minute of play forced Rathwire's goalkeeper Boyle McAlphie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rathwire's Boyle McAlphie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Auley Grant in the 80th minute of play. If Beag McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Conaill McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyle McAlphie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Cloghroe's goal looked a bit too open when Benen Jameson came free, but Banon Ghee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artt McWill was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 93rd match minute, Rathwire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artt McWill to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
