Bohannon Kelly was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Gortaheera's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 20 minutes into the game, Gortaheera's Bohannon Kelly nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaac Colwell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. With a little luck, Ballyleen's Isaac Colwell got control of the ball when Bohannon Kelly tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brenan Mullan made in the 25th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gortaheera's Breccan McNamara. Bohannon Kelly blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaac Colwell having to make a save. Bohannon Kelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Colwell having to interfere. Rory Scully breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th minute Harley McJohnny suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Boyne McPeter's late challenge caught a Ballyleen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boyne McPeter helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Ballyleen's zone, Bohannon Kelly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaac Colwell came out of the goal and Bohannon Kelly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boyne McPeter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Colwell having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Bohannon Kelly made a precise shot to the right of Isaac Colwell. Ballyleen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When Boyne McPeter came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Gortaheera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boyne McPeter couldn't finish the play. If Bohannon Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boyne McPeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rdth minute of the game Bohannon Kelly who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballyleen's Isaac Colwell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gortaheera walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
