Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cacey McBrandon got the match started through his kick off. If Beag McLaughlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cassidy Dillon kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When Riddock Duggan came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Cloghroe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Riddock Duggan couldn't finish the play. Ballyleen's Isaac Colwell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Ballyleen from getting a goal against them. Auley Grant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Colwell having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Conaill McNamara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloghroe's supporters rose to their feet, but Conaill McNamara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaac Colwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Banon Ghee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cacey McBrandon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Kealan McAaron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Ballyleen's Brenan Mullan in action when he in the 35th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Harley McJohnny managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballyleen's supporters rose to their feet, but Harley McJohnny was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Banon Ghee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Riddock Duggan hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Cloghroe's Conaill McNamara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Isaac Colwell. Isaac Colwell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Conaill McNamara made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ballyleen's zone, Conaill McNamara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaac Colwell came out of the goal and Conaill McNamara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cloghroe's goalkeeper Banon Ghee, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Beag McLaughlin struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Banon Ghee didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballyleen. Isaac Colwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Auley Grant in the 66th minute of the match. Ballyleen's Isaac Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conaill McNamara in the 67th minute of play. A collision led to Cloghroe getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Donan Walker hit a great ball. After 73 minutes Cloghroe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Brenan Mullan who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Brenan Mullan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cloghroe's Banon Ghee did a great save. In the 79th minute, Conaill McNamara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Auley Grant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Ballyleen's goal looked a bit too open when Auley Grant came free, but Isaac Colwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Conaill McNamara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Beag McLaughlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballyleen's goalkeeper Isaac Colwell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
