Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bohannon Kelly took the kick off in the first half of the match. Boyne McPeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Finglas AFC's Cahir Doherty got control of the ball when Bohannon Kelly tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rory Scully showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roordan McSteve in the 11th minute of the match. Boyne McPeter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the game, Finglas AFC's Gearard McBrandon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rory Scully made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rory Scully showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harrington Quinnless in the 22nd minute of the match. Gearard McBrandon took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rory Scully. Rory Scully dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 31st minute, Bohannon Kelly left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gortaheera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 37thth minute of the game Bohannon Kelly who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Finglas AFC's Cahir Doherty was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reidy Willson charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reidy Willson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Harrington Quinnless made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Finglas AFC's zone, Bohannon Kelly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cahir Doherty came out of the goal and Bohannon Kelly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Bard Molloy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cahir Doherty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bohannon Kelly in the 64th minute of play. Bohannon Kelly's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cahir Doherty read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Finglas AFC's goalkeeper Cahir Doherty, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84th match minute, Finglas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bressail Moran to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bohannon Kelly in the 86th minute of play forced Finglas AFC's goalkeeper Cahir Doherty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cahir Doherty came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Gortaheera's Healey Dalton. But to his dismay, Healey Dalton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Gortaheera were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Finglas AFC for a fine match.
