Northgrove FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barhan Rogers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Northgrove FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cacey McBrandon came free, but Pearse Mullan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ballyleen getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Cacey McBrandon hit a great ball. If Barhan Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barhan Rogers to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Ferdia McFrank was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Northgrove FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballyleen the free kick. After 54 played minutes Northgrove FC got a freekick which was hit by Ferdia McFrank. If Barhan Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Barhan Rogers put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Isaac Colwell. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Barhan Rogers got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Barhan Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Northgrove FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Barhan Rogers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaac Colwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isaac Colwell made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Barhan Rogers sent off a good shot on target. Isaac Colwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carson McWill in the 79th minute of the match. When Beag McLaughlin came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Ballyleen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beag McLaughlin couldn't finish the play. Beag McLaughlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pearse Mullan having to interfere. Barhan Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Isaac Colwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barhan Rogers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Isaac Colwell made a huge save. If Ferdia McFrank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
