Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rian Dunne started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a little luck, Garadice's Flannery Perth got control of the ball when Donelle Moran tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Garadice's Tobin Gollogley got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Rian Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Garadice's zone, Rian Dunne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flannery Perth came out of the goal and Rian Dunne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Rian Dunne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flannery Perth was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Brann MaCollin kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 22 minutes of play, Garadice's Breen Todd made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lewy Barrett was left in no man's land by his defense there! Auley Quinnless kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Garadice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flannery McFrank to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Kilclooney's Rian Dunne slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Flannery Perth. That made the score 1-1 after 31 minutes of play. After 34 minutes, Garrett McStephen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kilclooney and the Garadice players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Garrett McStephen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lewy Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breen Todd in the 35th minute of play. After 36 minutes, Flannery McFrank mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garadice and the Kilclooney players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lewy Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thurl Kelly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Garadice's Flannery Perth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rian Dunne in the 41st minute of play. Roordan McStephen charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roordan McStephen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Kilclooney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roordan McStephen to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thurl Kelly to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Tady Ghee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kilclooney and the Garadice players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rian Dunne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Flannery Perth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breen Todd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rian Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Kilclooney getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Garrett McStephen hit a great ball. Breen Todd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Lewy Barrett made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Garadice's zone, Rian Dunne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flannery Perth came out of the goal and Rian Dunne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Kilclooney's goalkeeper Lewy Barrett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bard Ghee. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Kilclooney players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
