After a rather tough play, Ballydevill's Bebhinn Delaney got a free kick in the 8th minute. Tirloch Bayes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torin Savic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Bebhinn Delaney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballydevill's supporters rose to their feet, but Bebhinn Delaney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon McPaul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Donlan McBrandon fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballydevill's protests and gave Donlan McBrandon a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ballydevill getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Donlan McBrandon hit a great ball. Tirloch Bayes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur McJohn in the 18th minute of play. Donlan McBrandon got his second yellow card in the match during the 20th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur McJohn in the 22nd minute of play forced Ballydevill's goalkeeper Tirloch Bayes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tirloch Bayes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torin Savic in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Broher Utd booed when Ballydevill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beanon Dunne didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boru McStephen in the 28th minute of play forced Ballydevill's goalkeeper Tirloch Bayes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Ballydevill's Kaine McAaron dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Fintan McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon McPaul having to interfere. When Kaine McAaron came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ballydevill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaine McAaron couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Broher Utd's zone, Beanon Dunne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon McPaul came out of the goal and Beanon Dunne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 47 played minutes Ballydevill got a freekick which was hit by Gordon Bayes. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Beanon Dunne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Broher Utd getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Tevis McPaul hit a great ball. In the 54thth minute of the game Beanon Dunne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Broher Utd's Leon McPaul was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Broher Utd's Boru McStephen got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ballydevill's Tirloch Bayes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tevis McPaul in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Beanon Dunne left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballydevill fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 79th minute, Tevis McPaul left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Broher Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. In the 82nd minute, Bebhinn Delaney made a precise shot to the right of Leon McPaul. Broher Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artur McJohn got free with Tirloch Bayes in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute, Broher Utd's Artur McJohn ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tirloch Bayes. Tirloch Bayes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-3. In the 93rd minute, Kaine McAaron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ballydevill's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
