Kiltybegs AFC's Donegal Rutherford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beanon Dunne in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Kiltybegs AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Beanon Dunne came free, but Donegal Rutherford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Ballydevill's goalkeeper Tirloch Bayes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Birr Molloy. Jarlath McJohnny hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bowen McPaul got free with Tirloch Bayes in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kaine McAaron struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Donegal Rutherford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballydevill. Donegal Rutherford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beanon Dunne, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beanon Dunne was the one to do the kick off. Bowen McPaul hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donlan McBrandon during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kiltybegs AFC booed when Ballydevill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donlan McBrandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 minutes of play Ballydevill's Bebhinn Delaney was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 56 played minutes Ballydevill got a freekick which was hit by Bebhinn Delaney. Birr Molloy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tirloch Bayes having to interfere. In the 60th match minute, Ballydevill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donlan McBrandon to maneuver through the defense.
