With his leg Torrans Matthews managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Graney's Berkley Kelly fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Berkley Kelly in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Torrans Matthews, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Graney getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Briony Hughes hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Bairne Callaghan struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Torrans Matthews didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Graney. Bairne Callaghan's late challenge caught a Mullan AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bairne Callaghan helped the player get up and apologised. Bairne Callaghan hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Graney's Peadair Robinson got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When Donavan Dalton fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Graney's protests and gave Donavan Dalton a yellow card for diving instead. Donavan Dalton kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Shamus McJames blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Beineon Morrison having to make a save. 76 minutes into the match, Graney's goalkeeper Beineon Morrison had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Desmond Hughes. The coaching staff of Graney protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Briony Caffey had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Graney fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 96 minutes, Mullan AFC's Reidy McDecland got an opportunity to shoot a penalty.
