Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bearach McCollion made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleary McOliver in the 7th minute of play forced Ballinaspig AFC's goalkeeper Enda Cassin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Shamus McJames came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Mullan AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shamus McJames couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute Alexander Willson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torrans Matthews saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 15 minutes, Bearach McCollion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballinaspig AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bearach McCollion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ballinaspig AFC booed when Mullan AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bow Caffrey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bearach McCollion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torrans Matthews having to interfere. Mullan AFC's Torrans Matthews played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rorke McFrancise in the 21st minute of play. If Desmond Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes in the game, Shamus McJames fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Enda Cassin having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ballinaspig AFC's Alexander Willson got a free kick in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Mullan AFC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Desmond Hughes hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cleary McOliver to make the kick off. In the 57th minute Shamus McJames shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enda Cassin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mullan AFC's Cleary McOliver got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cleary McOliver in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enda Cassin saved Ballinaspig AFC from getting behind. Enda Cassin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleary McOliver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enda Cassin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shamus McJames, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Bow Caffrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berach Gollogley kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Cleary McOliver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 81 minutes, Shamus McJames made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ballinaspig AFC's Enda Cassin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Bearach McCollion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ballinaspig AFC booed when Mullan AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bow Caffrey didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Shamus McJames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shamus McJames struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Enda Cassin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mullan AFC.
