Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Patton McMichel started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Ladysbridge's goal looked a bit too open when Berchan Tracy came free, but Donall McCollion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 3rd match minute, Ladysbridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Binean Barrett to maneuver through the defense. Branson Horgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donall McCollion having to interfere. In the 7th minute of the match, Bren Murphy got a very nice opportunity to score, but Donall McCollion was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cáirbre Sheridan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donavin Myler having to interfere. Patton McMichel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donavin Myler having to interfere. Bellaghy McWilliam charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bellaghy McWilliam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ladysbridge booed when Dromahoe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bellaghy McWilliam didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ladysbridge's Cáirbre Sheridan in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Donavin Myler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patton McMichel, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Ladysbridge booed when Dromahoe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bellaghy McWilliam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donavin Myler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patton McMichel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patton McMichel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donavin Myler having to make a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Berchan Tracy made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Patton McMichel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patton McMichel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Cáirbre Sheridan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 57 minutes, Coran McBjarton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dromahoe and the Ladysbridge players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dromahoe! Donavin Myler had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Patton McMichel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Donall McCollion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Branson Horgan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patton McMichel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Donavin Myler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Branson Horgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cáirbre Sheridan struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Donavin Myler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ladysbridge. If Patton McMichel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donavin Myler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patton McMichel's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After 89th play minutes Cáirbre Sheridan shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Donavin Myler and just under the crossbar into goal. Dromahoe's Donavin Myler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patton McMichel in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patton McMichel in the 97th minute of play forced Dromahoe's goalkeeper Donavin Myler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ladysbridge played a much better game than Dromahoe and deserved their victory. The Dromahoe players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
