Baiscend McJohnny might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donavin Myler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baiscend McJohnny ran back to his position shaking his head. Cairlinn's Kevion Bayes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berchan Tracy in the 35th minute of play. If Branson Horgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Berchan Tracy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kevion Bayes was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Cairlinn defense, Berchan Tracy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kevion Bayes. The Cairlinn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevion Bayes should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Coinneach Lester stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Branson Horgan could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Kevion Bayes however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Dromahoe booed when Cairlinn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. John McBjarton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cairlinn's Kevion Bayes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Cairlinn from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baiscend McJohnny in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donavin Myler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 65 minutes into the match, Dromahoe's goal looked a bit too open when Coinneach Lester came free, but Donavin Myler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berchan Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Dromahoe's Darrick Dillon got a free kick in the 76th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gearalt McJames during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 98th minute, John McBjarton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 99 played minutes, Dromahoe's Gearalt McJames shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kevion Bayes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dromahoe reached it.
