The supporters of Mullan AFC booed when Mulroog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keelin Ferguson didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Reidy McDecland from long distance, 16 minutes into the match, got Blanaid McGlynn's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Shamus McJames could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Blanaid McGlynn made a huge save. Mulroog's Barra Lavine got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cleary McOliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blanaid McGlynn having to interfere. When Dawayne Palmer fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mulroog's protests and gave Dawayne Palmer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Dawayne Palmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blanaid McGlynn stood somewhat misplaced when Shamus McJames came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 26 minute. Cleary McOliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cianán McTommy hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Mulroog's goal looked a bit too open when Cleary McOliver came free, but Blanaid McGlynn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shamus McJames blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Blanaid McGlynn having to make a save. With an all-out effort, Mullan AFC's Blanaid McGlynn threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cleary McOliver, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 38 minutes into the match, Mullan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Barra Lavine came free, but Torrans Matthews reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Mulroog's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Shamus McJames fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mulroog's goalkeeper Blanaid McGlynn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mullan AFC's goalkeeper Torrans Matthews, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cleary McOliver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Blanaid McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torrans Matthews made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Barra Lavine sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Torrans Matthews successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 76 played minutes Mullan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bow Caffrey. Blanaid McGlynn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bow Caffrey, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Cleary McOliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
