Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) Baiste Prunty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel McPaul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reilley Ryan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul McWill read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Ardy's Barley Savic sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baiste Prunty narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Reilley Ryan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 24 minutes, Heron McAaron mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ardy and the Ballymullen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Heron McAaron hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Reilley Ryan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Samuel McPaul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ardy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel McPaul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ardy's Barley Savic in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballymullen FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 41 played minutes Ballymullen FC got a freekick which was hit by Brasil Myler. Baiste Prunty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel McPaul in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 minutes of play Ardy's Heron McAaron was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Heron McAaron kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. When Rian McPhil came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Ballymullen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rian McPhil couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samuel McPaul to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ardy's Bodibeua Rutherford got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 58th minute, Rian McPhil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paul McWill was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 69th minute, Reidy Caffrey made a precise shot to the right of Baiste Prunty. Ballymullen FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After having played for 75 minutes, Reidy Caffrey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ardy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reidy Caffrey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reidy Caffrey might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baiste Prunty. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reidy Caffrey ran back to his position shaking his head. If Reidy Caffrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ardy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
